Ways to be a better writer...

To be able to write is very important. Its a form of communication, it can speak to an audience, it allows us to learn. It gives us stories and it explains things in a easy to understand way. The basic elements of this 015 class is to prepare us for college writing. And even though all of that stuff like Jane Schaffer and Dianna Hacker, I find relatively boring, I understand they will be our friends throughout college. To become a good writer we need to understand the audience, we need to understand what is being asked of us, and we need to write in a way that is appropriate. Good grammer and well organized thoughts are important to write well. Also, what this class is allowing us to work on, is practice. It is important to practice good writing because that is the only way in which you can progress. Also it is important to follow up on the readings in our book, and use what we are learning as much as possible. An important part of writing is also researching. Researching allows us to seem educated when we write, and it's important when entering a four year college. Another key thing, that ties along with this is having scholarly sources, to make sure what you decide to write about is accurate. Also making sure everything is in order and everything is spelled correctly. I think if you put all these things together with alot of practice you have the potential to become a great writer.
